About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Electrical Engineer to join our Energy & Industrial Group (EIG) in Tampa, FL. As a key member of our project team, you will be responsible for designing, modifying, and analyzing electrical systems for power and energy, industrial, and renewable energy solar PV projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop electrical power distribution systems, including medium and low voltage distribution systems, transformers, generators, and motors.
  • Prepare and review specifications for the procurement of electrical power equipment and related installation services.
  • Assist project managers in ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
  • Coordinate with vendors to prepare bills of material and equipment purchase specifications.
  • Prepare and review detailed calculations, including auxiliary power system studies, voltage drop, protective relay settings, and arc flash calculations.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET-accredited engineering program.
  • 10+ years of experience in power plant or industrial plant design, with a focus on integrated, detailed system design.
  • PE license or ability to earn a PE license.
  • Experience with electrical system design, including medium and low voltage distribution systems, communication systems, equipment selection, and analytical calculations.
  • Experience with ETAP and/or SKM software.
