**Senior Food Safety Manager**

We are seeking a seasoned professional to lead our food safety initiatives and ensure compliance with industry and governmental regulations. As the Senior Food Safety Manager, you will be responsible for steering our food safety team and quality assurance departments.

Key Responsibilities
  • **Team Leadership**: Guide the entire food safety team and quality assurance departments in implementing and enforcing comprehensive food safety plans.
  • **Food Safety Protocols**: Lead and manage food safety protocols, including GMP, SQF, HACCP, and preventive controls, to ensure all food safety measures meet industry and governmental regulations.
  • **Compliance and Audits**: Conduct and oversee external and internal audits, including SQF, HACCP, and GMP, to ensure compliance with industry and governmental regulations.
  • **Supplier Management**: Supervise third-party audits and ensure supplier and vendor standards are met.
  • **Training and Development**: Lead training sessions on food safety practices, including SQF and HACCP, and regularly enhance and update food safety plans.
  • **Product Development**: Partner in new product formulation, staying ahead of emerging regulations, and advise customers on product quality and technical specifications.
Requirements
  • **Education**: BS degree in science, preferably in Food Science, Chemistry, Biology, Microbiology, or a similar field.
  • **Experience**: 7+ years in food safety, quality systems, product development, and technical support, with 5+ years of experience leading food safety and quality teams in a manufacturing setting.
  • **Certifications**: Prefer SQF Practitioner, HACCP, and PCQI certifications.
  • **Skills**: Strong skills in both verbal and written communication, with the ability to identify and assess food safety risks and quality issues.
