About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Pharmacist to join our team at Hillcrest Healthcare System. As a clinical pharmacist, you will play a critical role in optimizing patient care by providing safe, effective, and cost-efficient pharmaceutical care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Interpret Orders: Accurately interpret and transcribe orders in the pharmacy computer system.
  • Compound and Dispense: Compound and dispense pharmaceuticals with precision and accuracy.
  • Monitor Drug Therapy: Monitor drug therapy regimens for contraindications, drug-drug interactions, and appropriateness of drug and dose.
  • Provide Medication Information: Provide accurate and timely medication information to healthcare staff and patients.
  • Interact with Medical Staff: Effectively interact with medical staff regarding drug therapy issues.
  • Document Clinical Activities: Document all clinical activities and interventions accurately and completely.
  • Sustain the Hospital Formulary: Sustain the hospital formulary, minimizing non-formulary procurements, utilizing therapeutic interchanges and other approved formulary protocols.
  • Supervise and Assist: Supervise and assist pharmacy technicians and other support staff effectively.
  • Participate in Quality Improvement: Participate in the goals of the organization's quality improvement, risk management, and patient safety program.
Requirements
  • Education: B.S. or Pharm D. from an ACPE-accredited School of Pharmacy.
  • Licensure: Active Pharmacist license in good standing with the Oklahoma State Board of Pharmacy.
  • Certification: BLS & ACLS certification (BLS required within 90 days of hire; ACLS required for attending Code Blue).
