Summary:
The Clinical Phone Coordinator serves as the primary contact for patients and healthcare professionals, facilitating the coordination of ongoing medical care.

Key Responsibilities:
- Triage and document all incoming clinical phone inquiries, including patient emergencies and pharmacy-related calls, to ensure quality patient care.
- Communicate effectively on behalf of healthcare providers to patients as directed.
- Document messages in patient records as necessary.
- Manage new, renewal, and refill prescriptions through the EMR system, ensuring accurate tracking of prior disbursements.
- Adhere to compliance standards and complete necessary training.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Education:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant clinical or complex scheduling experience, preferably in Dermatology or a similar field.
- Certification as a Medical Assistant is preferred but not mandatory.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Strong attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated leadership capabilities, serving as a role model in professional conduct and adaptability.
- Proficient organizational and computer skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with staff, clients, and the public.
- Capacity to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively, both independently and as part of a team.
- Commitment to maintaining confidentiality.
Physical Demands:
- Ability to communicate in a busy office environment.
- Proficient in operating office equipment (telephone, computer, fax, copier).
