About The Job

The Meade Law Group is seeking a skilled and experienced Paralegal Team Leader to join our team in Columbus, OH. As a key member of our legal team, you will be responsible for providing leadership, direction, and coaching to a team of legal professionals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide clerical and research support services, including document preparation and review, interviewing clients and witnesses, research, investigations, and fact checking, and trial preparation.
  • Manage the team of legal professionals, including providing leadership, direction, and coaching, mentoring and training new office staff, overseeing team performance, and conducting regular performance evaluations.
  • Assist attorneys with investigations and negotiations in felony cases, provide support during trials and possible testimony at trial, facilitate coordination of casework and client needs with crossover cases between teams, and assist with workflow of Attorneys.
  • Communicate effectively with courts, opposing counsel, opposing party, and witnesses, request and compile discovery and reciprocal discovery, schedule hearings, phone conferences, meetings, file with courts through a variety of methods, and provide wraparound services and contact info for resources to clients.

Requirements:

  • An Associate degree in Paralegal Studies or related field required, Bachelor's degree in Paralegal Studies or related field preferred.
  • Paralegal certificate preferred, leadership experience preferred, 4 - 5 years of Paralegal experience preferred.
  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer, must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.

Estimated Salary: $65,000 - $85,000 per year, based on experience and qualifications.
