Key Responsibilities:

The Supported Living Manager (SLM) plays a crucial role in overseeing the daily operations of Supported Living homes. This includes supervising staff and ensuring a fulfilling daily experience for clients.

Essential Duties:

  • Supervise, train, and mentor staff in compliance with state and federal regulations, as well as organizational policies.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement each client's Individual Support Plan (ISP) and Person-Centered Plan (PCP).
  • Engage in direct service delivery for clients as needed.
  • Maintain accurate documentation as required by Benchmark and regulatory standards, including client files.
  • Manage client budgets and ensure timely payment of bills. Assist clients in maintaining Medicaid eligibility by coordinating necessary appointments and documentation.
  • Communicate effectively with families, case managers, healthcare professionals, and other stakeholders.
  • Participate in team meetings, training sessions, and other required gatherings.
  • Implement training programs as outlined in each client's ISP.
  • Adhere to behavior support policies and execute approved behavior support strategies.
  • Involve in the recruitment and disciplinary processes for assigned staff.
  • Ensure proper administration of medications and address clients' healthcare needs.
  • Coordinate and accompany clients to medical appointments and follow up on care plans.
  • Plan and facilitate community-based recreational activities that are age-appropriate for clients.
  • Implement training protocols for both new and existing staff members.
  • Respond promptly to on-call situations as they arise.
  • Report any suspected incidents of abuse, neglect, or exploitation to the appropriate authorities.
  • Maintain required documentation related to employment, certifications, and training to comply with all applicable standards.
  • Be physically capable of lifting up to 50 pounds and standing or walking for extended periods.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree is preferred.
  • Minimum of two years of experience working with individuals with intellectual disabilities.
  • At least one year of supervisory experience is preferred.
  • Current CPR and First Aid certifications.
  • Valid driver's license and auto insurance are required.
  • Completion of necessary training in areas such as interviewing, hiring, and employee relations.
