Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled IT Project Manager to join our team at Houston Methodist. As an IT Project Manager, you will be responsible for planning, directing, and coordinating activities of small to medium scale and complexity technology projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and organize projects to ensure timely completion and within budget
  • Develop and implement project plans, including scope, timelines, and resource allocation
  • Lead project-related meetings and ensure effective communication with stakeholders
  • Establish and maintain project quality plans, including testing standards
  • Identify and mitigate project risks
  • Prepare and manage project budgets, including authorization for expenditure (AFE) and purchase orders
  • Close out projects and ensure all expenditures are accounted for
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, or related discipline with an information technology focus
  • Four years of experience managing small to medium scale projects in lieu of degree
  • Project management certification (PMP) preferred
  • Strong knowledge of current technologies and business needs
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to effectively facilitate meetings and work in a cross-functional environment
