Position Overview:

The Culinary Specialist at FLIP 3175, INC. DBA IHOP #3175 plays a crucial role in the preparation and cooking of food items, ensuring accuracy and minimal waste. This position involves mastering IHOP-specific culinary terminology, plating techniques, and menu items in accordance with established standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Establish and maintain professional relationships with team members and guests.
  • Prepare food according to specifications outlined in the IHOP Standard Operating Procedures Manual and recipe cards, ensuring customer satisfaction.
  • Learn and utilize IHOP-specific culinary terminology, plating methods, and procedures.
  • Keep a clean and sanitary workstation, adhering to health and safety guidelines.
  • Conduct Food Safety Evaluations and participate in training programs as required.
  • Address guest feedback effectively to enhance the dining experience.
  • Comply with all local, state, and company health, sanitation, and safety regulations.
  • Perform cleaning duties as per established schedules.
  • Adhere to uniform and appearance standards as set by the company.
  • Complete additional tasks as assigned by management.

Qualifications:

  • Prior experience in a culinary role is required.
  • Proficiency in operating kitchen equipment and various cooking techniques.
  • Knowledge of sanitation procedures and food safety practices.
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational abilities and the capacity to multitask.
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.

Physical Requirements:

The role demands the ability to stand for extended periods, lift and move items weighing up to 50 pounds, and perform repetitive tasks with full mobility of hands and arms.

Work Environment:

Employees may be exposed to various conditions including fumes, moving parts, and fluctuating temperatures. A moderate noise level is typical in the kitchen environment.
