Talent Acquisition Specialist

San Francisco Bay University is seeking a highly skilled Talent Acquisition Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our Human Resources department, you will play a critical role in identifying, attracting, and selecting top talent for our organization.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support campus recruitment-related initiatives, including campus outreach, conferences, intern/graduate recruitment, talent mapping, and sourcing.
  • Coordinate the end-to-end recruiting process, leveraging new technologies to ensure a smooth candidate experience.
  • Influence and communicate with hiring managers to drive effective recruiting strategies and set expectations.
  • Demonstrate an agile mindset, embracing new technologies and processes to develop and execute sourcing strategies.
  • Understand and execute business priorities, workforce planning outcomes, and regional capability requirements.
  • Build capability in Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Accessibility strategy through partnerships and outreach.
  • Inspire team members to achieve service standards by identifying performance gaps and providing constructive feedback.
  • Coach and develop team members across the organization, focusing on building sector-based business acumen.
  • Connect closely with external HR Community and business stakeholders to ensure awareness of key business priorities.
  • Track candidates from the interviewing phase through the offer and onboarding phase.
  • Track recruiting expenses to provide input to the management team.
Qualifications:
  • 3 or more years of experience in human resources, talent acquisition, or a related field, preferably in higher education.
  • Experience in full-cycle recruiting, including conducting needs assessment, providing input on candidate selection, and candidate relationship management.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of labor markets, recruiting practices, effective social media recruitment tools, and marketing resources.
  • Experience in complex higher education environments, serving academic and administrative roles.
  • Thinks creatively and proposes innovative ideas, including the incorporation of new technologies or processes.
  • Demonstrated skills associated with candidate identification, targeted sourcing, and selection of senior-level and unique employment assignments.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate technical information and ideas to a diverse community of colleagues and stakeholders.
  • Able to establish and advance positive working relationships and a strong rapport with team members, stakeholders, and customers.
  • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to balance competing priorities and support concurrent projects.
  • Ability to work in a project-based environment using project management practices.
  • Strong demonstrated problem-solving skills, with the ability to scope solutions based on knowledge of available resources and timelines.

Salary Range: $70,000-$85,000, depending on experience.
