Role Summary:

We are in search of a skilled individual to take on the role of Google SecOps Consultant. This position demands a robust background in IT and IT security, coupled with a dedication to ongoing professional development. As part of a collaborative team, you will engage closely with clients and our managed services to establish, oversee, and enhance Google SecOps environments. Your responsibilities will include ensuring the successful execution of projects while aligning them with overall business processes, system architecture, and data management strategies. Additionally, you will collaborate with end-users and their management to refine business workflows related to Google SecOps and maintain comprehensive documentation for all assigned tasks. Some travel may be necessary.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Direct project delivery by defining, maintaining, and communicating system requirements, solution approaches, design standards, and methodologies across the organization.
  • Assist clients in developing requirements, identifying gaps, and translating business needs into technical solutions.
  • Continuously enhance internal processes related to Splunk administration.
  • Collaborate with clients to implement a unified strategy across various functions, defining and executing effective solutions to challenges and opportunities.
  • Identify opportunities to leverage Splunk technology for improved operational intelligence.
  • Create and maintain documentation associated with implementations for managed clients.

Required Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in leading SecOps project delivery, including defining and communicating system requirements and design standards.
  • Ability to assist in creating requirements, identifying gaps, and translating business needs into technical solutions.
  • Experience working with internal sales and delivery teams on RFP responses, customer inquiries, and proof of concept environments.
  • Capability to identify efficiencies and opportunities for automation.
  • Track work progress and provide relevant reporting.
  • Serve as an escalation point for clients and internal teams.
  • Participate in identifying and analyzing use case implementations.
  • Lead and assist with cybersecurity initiatives as required.
  • Demonstrate ownership of new and diverse requests, exploring opportunities to enhance job outcomes.
  • Process tickets and resolve platform issues for clients as assigned.
  • Stay informed about the latest security threats.
  • Maintain professionalism and courtesy while delivering services.
  • Possess a strong background in IT and IT security.
  • Experience in deploying and managing Google SecOps environments.
  • Solid foundational knowledge of networking principles, security best practices, and systems administration.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in security.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Familiarity with programming languages such as Python, PowerShell, Go, CSS/HTML, and JavaScript.
  • Exceptional problem-solving abilities and critical thinking skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in project teams and manage individual tasks efficiently.
  • Exhibit a sense of personal accountability.
  • Experience in coordinating events and meetings.
  • Strong organizational capabilities.
  • Demonstrated experience in Information Security domains, with a solid understanding of security programs, requirements, deliverables, processes, tools, and mindset.
