Work Schedule: 4x10's, with start times between 2pm-3pm, subject to change. Weekend availability is also required.

* The anticipated salary range for this position is $70,000-$74,000 annually (For Salary, Non-Exempt Roles). Factors such as location, confirmed job-related skills, education, experience, and relevant training will be considered in determining the actual starting salary.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Plans, executes, and monitors daily logistics operations, including analysis of on-time delivery reports, reliability metrics, off-load rates, and workforce requirements. (25%)
  2. Reviews and organizes daily routing of equipment and personnel to fulfill customer demands in line with contractual obligations, special deliveries, and opening orders. (20%)
  3. Addresses equipment malfunctions or breakdowns, providing guidance and support to drivers, and submitting necessary reports to maintenance providers for service and repairs. (15%)
  4. Encourages employee engagement, including performance evaluations, coaching, and conflict resolution, to foster a positive workplace atmosphere. (20%)
  5. Supervises staff, including interpreting regulations in a unionized environment, resolving conflicts, and administering disciplinary actions as necessary. (10%)
  6. Updates routing software (XATA, CADEC) daily, reviewing drivers' onboard computer reports to ensure efficiency and timeliness goals are met. (10%)
  7. Performs other related duties as assigned.

Supervises a workforce of up to 100 employees, including hourly staff, overseeing operations that significantly impact customer relations.

Qualifications:

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Education/Certification:

A Bachelor's degree in management, business, or transportation/logistics from an accredited institution is preferred but not mandatory.

Experience:

3 to 6 years of experience in logistics or food distribution, including supervisory roles and experience in a union environment.
