Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Hardware Engineer to support the design and development of complex computing systems for defense purposes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform end-to-end system hardware architectural design based on customer requirements.
  • Integrate various system components, including servers, network switches, GPS devices, and digitizers.
  • Design and implement network systems engineering, working with vendors to identify new requirements.
  • Develop higher-level network designs with Cisco and create documents for procurement.
  • Design and implement complex network core cabling integration and infrastructure cabling between racks.
  • Provide new configurations and changes to drafter and ensure accuracy of cabling drawing packages.
  • Integrate equipment from various vendors, including Cisco, HP, Dell, and IBM.
  • Perform quality assurance on all systems procurement to ensure build standards are met.
  • Manage drawing configuration management, including 2D and 3D drawing tasks using ACAD or Visio.
  • Research new technologies and obtain technical specifications.
  • Track status and organize documentation deliveries.
  • Provide drawing packages to appropriate repositories.
  • Create custom fabrication component drawings for vendor bid submittals.
  • Develop automation processes for tracking components associated with Floor Plans, Rack Elevations & Cable databases.
  • Provide and receive technical specifications to/from vendors.
  • Review quotes from vendors and resellers.
  • Create rack elevations and build documents for vendors.
  • Update build cable run lists documents and upload for team usage.
  • Create and provide Cable BOM's for manufacturers and vendors.
Requirements
  • Active Clearance: TS/SCI with Polygraph is required.
  • Education: Positions available for various levels of experience.
  • Entry Level: Bachelor's degree in an engineering or related field, and no or minimal experience.
  • Basic Level: Bachelor's degree in an engineering or related field, and 4 years of relevant experience.
  • Mid Level: Bachelor's degree in an engineering or related field, and 8 years of relevant experience.
  • Senior Level: Bachelor's degree in an engineering or related field, and 12 years of relevant experience.
  • Note: A Master's degree in an engineering or related field can be used to substitute for 4 years of experience.
