Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our team at Regional Cancer Care Associates. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our healthcare professionals in delivering high-quality services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist physicians, nurse practitioners, and other healthcare professionals in providing quality patient care.
  • Perform laboratory tests, including blood draws and urinalysis, in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Transport patients safely and assist with ambulation, transfers, and preparation for examinations.
  • Obtain patient vital signs, height, and weight, and document information in the electronic medical record.
  • Assist with purchasing and maintaining medical supplies and equipment.
  • Ensure exam rooms and physician offices are stocked with necessary supplies and equipment.
  • Observe patient condition and communicate changes or concerns to healthcare professionals.
  • Perform EKGs and other laboratory tests as requested.
  • Follow emergency procedures, including CPR if necessary.
  • Assist with exams and set up for procedures, such as bone marrow biopsies and lumbar punctures.
  • Document patient information and maintain accurate records.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Current certification as a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) preferred.
  • CPR certification required.
