Position Overview: As a vital member of the healthcare team, the Registered Nurse in Ambulatory Care plays a crucial role in delivering exceptional patient care within the cardiology department.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Enhancing Patient Health: Facilitate the nursing process to promote and restore health by collaborating with physicians and multidisciplinary teams, while providing comprehensive support to patients and their families.
  2. Patient Engagement: Establish rapport with patients to identify their care needs effectively.
  3. Compassionate Care: Create a nurturing environment by offering emotional, psychological, and spiritual support to patients and their loved ones.
  4. Patient Independence: Encourage self-management by setting care goals and educating patients and families about their conditions and treatment plans.
  5. Quality Assurance: Uphold therapeutic standards and measure health outcomes, making necessary adjustments to ensure optimal patient care.
  6. Team Collaboration: Address patient concerns through effective teamwork and communication.
  7. Safe Environment: Maintain a clean and safe workplace by adhering to established protocols and regulations.
  8. Infection Control: Protect patients and staff by following infection control policies and medication management procedures.
  9. Documentation: Accurately document patient care activities in compliance with departmental standards.
  10. Continuity of Care: Ensure seamless communication among nursing teams regarding patient needs and care actions.
  11. Confidentiality: Safeguard patient information to maintain trust and operational integrity.
  12. Equipment Management: Ensure the functionality of medical equipment through regular maintenance and troubleshooting.
  13. Inventory Management: Monitor and manage nursing supplies to ensure availability for patient care.

Qualifications:

  1. Current NJ RN license.

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of patient care.
  2. Experience in acute care settings.
  3. BLS and ACLS certifications.
  4. Specialized knowledge and skills relevant to the assigned department.
  5. Prior experience in Ambulatory Surgery or Medical/Surgical settings.
