Position Overview

The Federal Financial Management Associate Manager will play a crucial role within a Functional Team, assisting the Department of the Navy's Office of Financial Management in maintaining property accountability and financial reporting.

This position requires a solid understanding of property business processes, internal controls, and systems to support efforts aimed at achieving complete accountability and audit readiness for asset management.

The Associate Manager is expected to leverage their expertise to assess cross-functional processes and transactions that influence Financial Management and Comptroller (FM&C) as well as Acquisition, Technology, and Logistics (AT&L) sectors.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Integrating asset management with financial management functions.
  • Evaluating and enhancing processes related to audit readiness and property management.
Qualifications

Applicants should possess:

  • A minimum of 4 years of experience in audit readiness or property management.
  • At least 2 years of experience in Federal Government Accounting and/or Auditing.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience with DLA/Working Capital Fund (WCF) Inventory.
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications, particularly Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • A Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Preferred Skills

Ideal candidates will have:

  • An understanding of asset management accounting/audit related to GPP&E, Inventory & Related Property.
  • Certifications such as CDFM, CGFM, and/or CPA.
  • Experience with DOD / DON FIAR.
