Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced CDL A Truck Driver to join our team at our Romeoville, IL location. As a key member of our transportation team, you will be responsible for delivering products to local restaurants in Illinois.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate diesel-powered tractor-trailer combination trucks to transport and deliver products
  • Drive truck to destination, applying knowledge of commercial driving regulations and skill in maneuvering vehicles in difficult situations
  • Inspect trucks for defects before and after trips and submit report indicating truck conditions
  • Maintain driver log according to DOT regulations and other federal and company required records/logs
  • Perform product backhaul when returning from dispatched route
  • Unload/load product at store with assistance from store personnel
Requirements
  • Valid driver's license and current DOT Medical certification card
  • One year of driving tractor-trailer experience
  • Ability to effectively communicate to maintain positive customer relations climate
  • Capable of standing, walking, and repeatedly climbing into and out of road tractor or switch tractor
  • Ability to work all necessary work schedules, including holidays/weekends
What We Offer
  • Union job with Teamsters 710
  • Hourly pay of $34.95/hour
  • 4 days on, 3 days off schedule with average hour shifts
  • Mandatory weekends with additional $2.00/hour pay
  • 5th and 6th day hourly premium of $10.82/hour on top of OT pay
  • Dispatch times range between 10:30am and 5PM
  • Must be able to do local and lay-over routes in WI, MO, IN, and IA
  • Touch freight delivery with lifting up to 75 pounds, trucks equipped with two-wheel dollies, hooks, and lift gates on trailers
  • Weekly pay every Friday
