We are seeking a highly skilled Psychologist I to join our team at the South Carolina Department of Juvenile Justice. As a Psychologist I, you will be responsible for providing evaluation, consultation, and therapeutic services to youth involved with the Department of Juvenile Justice.
Job Responsibilities:- Conduct comprehensive evaluations of youth to assess diagnoses and treatment needs
- Provide individual and group therapy services to youth
- Supervise evaluation and therapeutic services provided by facility Mental Health Professionals
- Identify youth with Serious Mental Illness or Intellectual Disability and make referrals to appropriate agencies
- Participate in DJJ treatment planning and interagency staffing
- Doctorate in applied psychology from an accredited college or university
- Experience in applied psychology
- Knowledge of current psychological theory and practice, psychological evaluation and assessment techniques, and forensic psychological issues in Family Court
- Competitive salary range: $106,827 - $126,547
- Excellent benefits package, including health, dental, and life insurance, retirement plans, and paid time off
