About the Position

Palo Verde Community College District is seeking a highly qualified Part-Time Business Instructor to join our team. As a member of our faculty, you will play a critical role in shaping the educational experience of our students.

Job Summary

The Part-Time Business Instructor will be responsible for teaching business-related courses, developing curriculum, and assessing student learning outcomes. This is a temporary, part-time, hourly assignment, certificated position on a needed basis.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teach business-related courses, including principles of business, business management, and entrepreneurship.
  • Develop and implement curriculum that aligns with industry standards and best practices.
  • Assess student learning outcomes and provide feedback to students.
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress and grades.
  • Participate in faculty meetings and contribute to the development of departmental policies and procedures.
  • Stay current with industry trends and developments in business education.
Requirements
  • Masters in business, business management, business administration, accountancy, finance, marketing, or business education.
  • OR a Bachelor's in any of the above and a Master's in economics, personnel management, public administration, or JD or LL.B. degree.
  • OR a Bachelor's in economics with business emphasis and a Master's in personnel management, public administration, or JD or LL.B. degree.
  • OR the equivalent.
  • Sensitivity to and understanding of the diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, disability, and ethnic backgrounds of community college students.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Teaching experience, preferably at the community college level.
  • A firm commitment to the needs of students with diverse racial and ethnic backgrounds and levels of ability with multi-cultural teaching experience.
  • Additional academic preparation enabling instructor to teach in an additional discipline.
Work Environment
