We are seeking a highly skilled Project Engineer to join our Production Engineering group at NBCUniversal's Operations & Technology (O&T) team, based in the Telemundo Center facility in Miami, FL.
Job Summary:The Project Engineer will be responsible for executing production engineering projects, implementing changes, enhancements, and supporting technology refresh and expansion projects.
Key Responsibilities:- Deliver on all project commitments and work closely with other internal engineering and production teams to ensure successful project launches.
- Lead creation of project documentation, including requirements, conceptual drawings, estimates, design drawings, and documentation.
- Collaborate with on-site and remote technology vendors to develop and implement solutions to support live production control rooms, studios, graphics systems, replay systems, etc.
- Work with internal stakeholders to create and update configuration documentation.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Broadcasting, or related fields, or equivalent work experience.
- 3+ years of recent experience supporting live production, post-production, or master control environments.
- Ability to work evenings, overnights, weekends, holidays with little or no notice depending on production schedules.
- Ability to travel on an as-needed basis.
- Fluency in English (with fluency in Spanish desired).
- Expertise with a broad range of technologies, especially systems and technologies used for live production.
- Dedication to building and maintaining a stable, high-performance technical environment.
- Strong understanding of IP & SDI based infrastructures and software-based systems.
- Ability to assist project initiatives to include, capital planning, reporting on engineering progress, and execution of primary project initiatives.
- Proven ability to manage multiple, urgent priorities simultaneously.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong customer service skills and professionalism.
