Paint Technician Specialist

Under the guidance of the paint supervisor, this Paint Technician Specialist will perform a range of duties related to paint process maintenance, quality control, and equipment upkeep. The ideal candidate will have a strong attention to detail, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Key Responsibilities- Maintain a safe and clean work environment, adhering to all relevant health and safety protocols.
- Conduct daily inspections of paint process equipment, ensuring optimal performance and identifying areas for improvement.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks, including washer WWD inspections, titration checks, and spare part management.
- Collaborate with manufacturing engineering, quality, and suppliers to resolve quality-related issues.
- Calibrate and maintain paint mixing units, and repair units as required.
- Test samples to ensure quality products are being applied and produced.
- Organize HAZMAT storage areas, ensuring FIFO compliance and managing empties.
Minimum high school diploma or equivalent required. Associate degree or certificate in painting or auto body preferred. Basic knowledge of paint products and willingness to learn. Six months to two years of related experience. Essential skills include accuracy, reading, document use, numeracy, writing, oral communication, and problem-solving.
