Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Technician Specialist to join our team at UW Hospital & Clinics. As a Pharmacy Technician Specialist, you will play a critical role in preparing medications in our nuclear pharmacy.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare medications in our nuclear pharmacy, adhering to strict quality control standards.
  • Work collaboratively with pharmacists and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate and timely medication preparation.
  • Adapt to a changing environment, demonstrating flexibility and a positive attitude to complete any work within the scope of the role.
  • Be highly motivated, detail-oriented, and a critical thinker who easily identifies how to prioritize work and manage time.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Completion of an accredited pharmacy technician training program preferred.
  • 6 months experience as a pharmacy technician, completion of accredited Pharmacy Technician Training Program, or completion of second year of pharmacy school required.
  • Wisconsin Pharmacy Technician Registration upon hire required.
  • Certified Pharmacy Technician preferred.
