Location: Layton
Work Schedule: Full-Time
Supervisory Duties:Oversee contractors and vendors during routine maintenance and repair tasks within the facility.
Key Responsibilities:- Conduct regular preventive maintenance to ensure optimal operation of machinery, efficient building systems, and the upkeep of the facility's physical condition.
- Install, assemble, or repair electrical systems, plumbing, machinery, and other equipment.
- Replace or repair faulty equipment components using both hand and power tools, and reassemble machinery as necessary.
- Request and evaluate bids and price estimates from external vendors and contractors.
- Manage vendor/contractor activities during routine maintenance and repairs.
- Perform additional tasks as assigned.
Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Preferred: Vocational training, relevant on-the-job experience, or an associate's degree.
Experience:
- Proven experience in plumbing, electrical work, and HVAC systems, along with proficiency in tools specific to each trade.
- Prior experience in commercial building maintenance is highly desirable.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
- Valid driver's license.
- Capability to work independently and efficiently.
- Strong customer service orientation.
- Knowledge and skills to execute basic maintenance tasks.
- Physical ability to lift, bend, and carry items weighing up to 75 pounds.
Knowledge:
- Understanding of machinery and tools, including their design, use, maintenance, and repair.
- Familiarity with customer service principles and processes, including needs assessment and quality standards.
- Awareness of materials, methods, and tools used in construction and repair of structures.
- Knowledge of relevant policies and procedures to ensure safety and security in operations.

- Ability to repair machinery or systems using appropriate tools.
- Competence in performing routine maintenance and identifying maintenance needs.
- Problem-solving skills to determine causes of operational errors.
- Logical reasoning to evaluate solutions and approaches to issues.

- Understanding of the tools and equipment necessary for various tasks.
- Ability to monitor and assess performance for improvement.
