Orlando Health is seeking a highly skilled Respiratory Therapist to join our team at South Lake Hospital. As a Respiratory Therapist, you will be responsible for assessing, treating, and caring for patients with breathing disorders.
Key Responsibilities- Assess and treat patients with breathing disorders, including those requiring non-invasive ventilators and pulmonary diagnostics.
- Maintain accurate and precise patient records.
- Operate and maintain respiratory equipment, including arterial blood gas analyzers and specimen collection systems.
- Communicate effectively with healthcare teams to ensure seamless patient care.
- Participate in quality control and maintenance of equipment, as well as quality improvement initiatives.
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) licensure by the State of Florida Department of Health.
- Registered Respiratory Therapist credential from the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC).
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Healthcare Provider certification.
- Advanced Life Support certification as required by unit and site.
- Preferred: Active membership in the American Association for Respiratory Care (AARC) and Florida Association for Respiratory Care (FSRC).
