Housekeeping Specialist

Agape Behavioral Center is seeking a highly skilled Housekeeping Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our facilities maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and organization of our residential facility.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform daily cleaning and refinishing tasks to maintain a high level of cleanliness and organization.
• Operate commercial cleaning equipment, including vacuum cleaners and mop and wringers.
• Maintain and distribute linen inventory, and oversee set-up for special functions.
• Report any equipment or facility issues to the Director of Operations.
• Work collaboratively with cleaning crews to ensure efficient use of man hours.
• Adapt to changing situations and work assignments, and demonstrate a willingness to rotate to other areas of the facility.
• Conform to uniform and dress code, personal hygiene, and good grooming standards.
• Respond positively to guidance and counseling, and seek management guidance when needed.
• Identify potential problems within the department and seek management guidance.
• Perform other tasks as assigned.

Requirements:

• Knowledge of facility and housekeeping department policies and procedures.
• Ability to use universal precautions when cleaning specific areas.
• Ability to communicate with co-workers.
• Ability to work independently in assigned areas.
• One year of experience in housekeeping in a healthcare facility.
