We are seeking an experienced Data Engineering Technical Visionary to join our team at Bandwidth. As a key member of our data engineering team, you will play a crucial role in bridging the gap between business needs and technical solutions.

The Role
This position involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to manage the development process, create and maintain the product backlog, deliver high-quality data solutions, and perform other traditional product owner functions. You will champion data initiatives, ensuring solutions are scalable, secure, and aligned with industry standards.
Responsibilities
- Data Engineering Expertise: Define and communicate the platform/product vision and roadmap, collaborate with stakeholders to align platform/product goals with organizational objectives, and establish KPIs and metrics to measure product success.
- Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including data engineers, data scientists, software engineers, architects, business analysts, and other stakeholders, to gather requirements and feedback, ensuring alignment and clarity on project goals.
- Technical Guidance: Understand and articulate technical concepts in data engineering and infrastructure, guide the team in developing scalable, secure, and efficient data solutions and platforms, and identify potential risks early and work on mitigation strategies.
- Agile Methodologies: Facilitate Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning and reviews, guide the team in following Agile best practices for continuous improvement, and regularly meet with internal customers to share and align roadmaps, discuss priorities, and assess their experiences with products and platforms.
Requirements
- Experience: 5+ years of experience working in software architecture in the data engineering domain and 2+ years of experience working as a product owner in the data engineering domain.
- Education: Bachelor's degree (within an engineering or computer science discipline strongly preferred) or equivalent work experience.
Salary Range
$140,000 - $180,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
