Position Overview:
Join our innovative team at Sonic Reference Laboratory, Inc., where we prioritize quality and excellence in laboratory testing. As a Clinical Laboratory Quality Assurance Manager, you will be integral to our commitment to continuous improvement and regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement Quality Assurance/Quality Control policies tailored to our laboratory processes.
- Ensure adherence to regulatory standards set by CAP, CLIA, and relevant State agencies.
- Oversee the scheduling and coordination of workflow for laboratory personnel.
- Manage procurement and inventory of clinical laboratory supplies and equipment.
- Identify and address laboratory needs regarding staffing and equipment.
- Engage in self-directed learning to stay updated on advancements in laboratory practices.
- Evaluate and document employee performance, including training and disciplinary actions.
- Lead special projects aimed at process enhancements and new methodologies in the laboratory.
- Conduct monthly reviews of Quality Control/Quality Assurance documentation across all analyzers and procedures.
- Uphold safety standards by enforcing universal precautions and ensuring the use of personal protective equipment.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology or a related field (Chemical, Biological, or Physical Science).
- Minimum of two years of experience in technical leadership or administrative roles within a laboratory setting.
- Certification as a Medical Technologist, Clinical Laboratory Scientist, or in Molecular Biology from the American Society of Clinical Pathologists (ASCP) or an equivalent body.
- In-depth knowledge of molecular techniques, laboratory equipment, and methodologies.
- Strong analytical skills with a keen attention to detail, capable of interpreting data through various formats.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, Outlook, and Word.
- Familiarity with clinical laboratory regulations and auditing processes (CLIA, CAP, ISO, NY State) and Good Documentation Practices (GDP).
- Ability to work autonomously with minimal oversight.

Work Environment:
- Indoor temperature-controlled setting with potential exposure to biological and chemical hazards.
- Safety equipment and personal protective gear will be provided to ensure a safe working environment.
