About the RoleWe are seeking a highly skilled Home Content Creator and Reporter to join our team. This individual will report to a Deputy Content Editor and work hand-in-hand with product testers, social media, video, and survey teams to conceive and execute a range of home content across multiple platforms.
This role requires a creative thinker with lots of original story ideas to pitch, as well as excellent communication skills to clearly express ideas for articles and share information with colleagues.
Responsibilities- Pitch, research, and write new articles across multiple platforms.
- Update and optimize an established collection of home content in key categories.
- Interview expert sources externally and internally.
- Follow and research the latest news, and track market trends in order to generate relevant story ideas.
To be successful in this role, you should have at least three years of reporting experience, in addition to a Bachelor's Degree in journalism or a related field. You should also take a reader-first approach, converting technical insights and data into informative, well-written, easy-to-understand content.
You should be knowledgeable and interested in home products, willing to become an expert on anything from heat pumps to lawn mowers to whole-house generators. Additionally, you should be familiar with digital publishing platforms, such as WordPress and Google Docs.
What We OfferWe offer competitive compensation, including a target salary range of $106K-$115K per year, which is reflective of the NY/CA market. The successful candidate will be informed by their particular combination of knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience.
