Job Title: Veterinary Technician

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Veterinary Technician to join our team at Sharon Lakes Animal Hospital. As a Veterinary Technician, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our veterinarians in delivering high-quality medical services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist veterinarians with medical procedures, including surgeries and examinations
  • Provide nursing care to patients, including administering medications and monitoring vital signs
  • Conduct laboratory tests and diagnostic imaging
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient medical records
  • Communicate effectively with clients and veterinarians to ensure seamless patient care
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current with industry developments and best practices

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in veterinary technology or a related field preferred
  • Two or more years of experience as a veterinary technician or in a related field
  • Certification as a veterinary technician (CVT), licensed veterinary technician (LVT), or registered veterinary technician (RVT) preferred
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
