Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Nursing Assistant I + Clerical to join our team at the Burn Center. As a key member of our interdisciplinary team, you will provide exceptional patient care and support to burn victims of all ages, from pediatric to geriatric.

Responsibilities
  • Assist physicians and other healthcare providers with routine examinations and procedures, as well as procurement of equipment and supplies.
  • Critically review patient care documentation, making note of any significant changes in the patient's condition and reporting to a registered nurse or physician.
  • Provide a variety of clerical tasks, including organizing and prioritizing workload, greeting and directing visitors, researching information as requested by nurses and physicians, reviewing orders for logic and clarity, and maintaining medical records.
  • Provide clinical support assistance, including cleaning the work area, maintaining office equipment, troubleshooting common software and hardware problems, and assisting in the orientation of new employees and students.
  • Provide direct personal care to patients, including bathing, dressing, feeding, assisting with ambulation, measuring and recording vital signs, and patient height and weight.
Requirements
  • High School diploma or GED
  • Listed as Nurse Aide I Registry with the North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Provider certification
  • One (1) year of clerical or customer service experience and six (6) months of related nursing assistant experience

We offer a competitive salary range of $15.64 - $19.55 per hour, as well as an extensive benefit package, including PTO hours, accrued based on the number of worked hours.
