This position focuses on the engineering design of both AC and DC Catenary systems utilized in various rail networks. Key responsibilities encompass the preparation of Catenary layouts, profile illustrations, and structural support designs.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Expertise in comprehensive Catenary design
  • Proficient in developing OCS structure and wiring layout plans
  • Experience in formulating OCS specifications
  • Capability to create Structural Erection Diagrams and Catenary profiles
  • Familiarity with applicable code standards
  • Understanding of interdisciplinary integration including traction power, track, signals, and communications
  • Strong skills in engineering calculations and structural assessments
  • Experience in supervising Catenary engineering personnel
  • Ability to prepare assembly and component schematics
  • Knowledge of Catenary wire characteristics and associated hardware
  • Experience in OCS field construction and cost analysis
  • Comprehensive understanding of Catenary system functionality

Essential Skills

  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil or Mechanical Engineering
  • 2-7 years of experience in OCS/Catenary design
  • Proficient in AutoCAD/Microstation V8
  • Capable of designing on-screen for CAD drawings
  • EIT preferred with aspirations for a PE license
  • Familiarity with software for support structure evaluation is advantageous
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills

Compensation Range:

$67,000 - $89,661.00
