The Opportunity

We're seeking a highly skilled Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join our team on a travel assignment. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for performing MI SPECT diagnostic imaging procedures and providing exceptional patient care.

Responsibilities:
  • Perform MI SPECT diagnostic imaging procedures on patients of all ages to assist in the diagnosis of patient illness.
  • Locate and record internal elements of the body, and identify any anomalies indicative of disease, injury, or other medically significant conditions.
  • Adjust equipment and calm patients to eliminate test artifacts.
  • Monitor patients for potentially dangerous physical and emotional changes.
  • Evaluate test results for clarity and accuracy.
  • Review tests with peers and physicians.
  • Inform physicians of preliminary findings as requested.
  • Distribute completed test results to physicians and service providers.
  • Prepare diagnostic information for physician interpretation.
  • Maintain patient charts, enter diagnosis and billing codes, log data into patient information systems, and update file systems for tests performed.
  • Clean and sterilize equipment and workspace.
  • Recognize equipment malfunctions and adjust equipment or write referrals for repair.
  • Instruct patients in pretest preparation, answer questions, and explain procedures.
  • Perform additional duties as required.

Requirements:
  • Graduate of an accredited Nuclear Medicine technology program.
  • Clinical Nuclear Medicine Technologist background with a minimum of 3 years MI SPECT clinical experience required.
  • Siemens or GE experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Siemens C.cam experience.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to interact with client personnel and team members in an autonomous, responsible, professional, and ethical manner.
  • Must be flexible, reliable, and demonstrate sound judgment and initiative.
