In this position, your daily responsibilities will encompass supporting contract establishment and oversight, expense management and evaluation, proposal formulation, New Business Acquisition Expenditures (NBAE) oversight, and essential staffing to bolster the Engineering & Technology sector.
The Engineering and Technology Finance division is distinctive as we engage with all types of funding and collaborate closely with our Engineers and technical teams.
Your tasks will include conducting financial assessments, implementing performance management budgeting, and forecasting tasks that involve variance analysis, trend recognition, workforce planning factors, risk and opportunity evaluations, and the creation of mitigation strategies.
You will integrate data from various financial systems, processes, and functions to consolidate the information into actionable business solution recommendations.
Ensure that expenses are allocated in accordance with established protocols. You will develop and present actionable insights to key stakeholders to facilitate informed financial and operational decisions. Additionally, you will provide subject matter expertise in proposal development, cost estimation, and negotiations as necessary.
Essential Qualifications:
- Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities
- Experience in budget planning and performance analysis
- Strong analytical and presentation skills
- Capability to drive results, proactive mindset, process-oriented, and structured problem-solving approach
- Proficient in MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
Preferred Skills:
- Background in budgeting, estimation, workforce planning, and development and production contracts is advantageous.
A Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in a relevant field, or equivalent experience combined with education, along with 3 years of professional experience; or 1 year of professional experience with a related Master's degree.
Security Clearance Requirement: This role necessitates a government security clearance; candidates must be U.S. Citizens for consideration.

Work Schedule Options: Lockheed Martin supports various alternative work schedules that offer additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules can range from a standard 40 hours over a five-day work week to condensed formats. These condensed schedules provide employees with extra time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time Off benefits.
Schedule for this Role: 4x10 hour days, 3 days off per week
