- To assist the Health and Wellness Officer in managing essential aspects of the department while maintaining a professional demeanor at all times.
- Manage scheduling, including holiday rotations.
- Work during holidays as directed by the Health and Wellness Officer.
- Respond to staff call-ins and help secure replacements to meet staffing requirements.
- Provide personal care support when staffing levels are insufficient.
- Report all staff absences to the Health and Wellness Officer.
- Conduct daily audits of Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), Medicaid Waiver documentation, and maintain filing systems.
- Perform weekly audits of medication carts and manage refills and reconciliations.
- Audit monthly vital signs and weight records.
- Facilitate staff training and oversee training documentation for employee records.
- Assist in the organization of admission paperwork and the breakdown of charts as needed.
- Coordinate with physician groups for community member appointments.
- Arrange lab setups as ordered by physicians.
- Ensure new orders are sent to the appropriate pharmacy and organized for review by the Health and Wellness Officer.
- Complete inventory management for Health and Wellness supplies and place orders as instructed.
- Occasional errands.
- Support community members as required.
- Assist and supervise during emergencies.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Associate's degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school, or three years of relevant experience combined with education and training.
- Experience in assisted living environments. Proficient typing skills (60+ words per minute) with accuracy. Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel. Familiarity with office equipment such as copiers, fax machines, and printers.
- Ability to read and understand instructions, correspondence, and memos. Capable of writing correspondence and effectively presenting information in one-on-one and small group settings to customers, staff, community members, and their families. Must possess basic English language skills.
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs. Required to assist with community member care needs.
- Must demonstrate the ability to collaborate with colleagues, multitask, coordinate, and fulfill assigned job responsibilities.
