Duties and Responsibilities of the Kitchen Sanitation Specialist:

  • Efficiently load, operate, and unload the dishwashing machine.
  • Maintain cleanliness of the dishwashing area and promptly report any mechanical issues.
  • Monitor water temperature in the dish machine to ensure sanitary washing processes.
  • Thoroughly wash and store all dining and kitchen utensils.
  • Keep the dishwashing area organized and tidy.
  • Ensure an adequate supply of clean utensils for both dining and kitchen needs.
  • Dispose of dishwashing area waste at designated times.
  • Handle all utensils with care to minimize breakage.
  • Maintain sufficient levels of dishwashing detergents and cleaning supplies.
  • Clean food preparation and production areas as necessary.
  • Adhere to all quality standards set forth by corporate operations and the executive chef.
  • Ensure the kitchen is kept in a clean and sanitary condition in compliance with health regulations.
  • Assist fellow kitchen staff with cleaning, cooking, preparation, and receiving tasks as needed.
  • Be available to fill in as necessary to ensure smooth restaurant operations as directed by management.
  • Perform other assigned duties as required.
  • Availability to work 8+ hours per day, including weekends and holidays.
