Position Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to become an integral part of our comprehensive cancer care team at PeaceHealth.
The oncology team comprises a diverse group of professionals, including Medical Oncologists, Radiation Oncologists, Nurse Practitioners, Oncology Certified Nurses, and support staff, all working collaboratively to provide exceptional patient care. Our oncology providers also serve satellite clinics, ensuring a broad reach of services.

- Accredited by the Commission on Cancer
- State-of-the-art cancer center situated in a serene, natural environment
- Supportive and collaborative clinical team
- Access to OCN Certified nurses, nurse navigators, social workers, nutritionists, and financial counselors
- Participation in the CMS Oncology Care Model aimed at enhancing care delivery
- Engagement in tumor boards for evidence-based treatment planning
- Involvement in clinical trials and complementary therapies
- Utilization of Epic EMR for streamlined patient management
This role is governed by a collective bargaining agreement, and multiple openings may be available.
Compensation and Benefits:
- Competitive first-year salary range: $131,123-$166,150 based on experience

Job Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough history and physical examinations, interpreting laboratory and diagnostic results to inform treatment plans.
- Order and perform necessary diagnostic procedures.
- Assist in surgical procedures and provide ongoing patient assessments.
- Prescribe medications and manage treatment regimens within the scope of practice.
- Maintain accurate patient records and document progress notes.
- Provide counseling on preventive care and medical management.
- Fulfill additional responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Education: Completion of an accredited Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner program.
- Certification: Board certification by AAPA or AANP is required.
- Experience: Minimum of one year of experience as a Physician Assistant is preferred.
- Licensure: Active Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner license in Washington state, or eligibility to obtain by start date.
- Basic Life Support certification required upon hire.

- Knowledge of age-specific care principles and the ability to apply them effectively.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with patients and healthcare teams.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and quality patient care.
