Crisis Therapist

We are seeking a skilled Therapist to join our Crisis Line team at Kaiser Permanente. As a Therapist, you will provide high-quality mental health care to our members in a cost-effective manner, adhering to accepted professional practice standards.
Key Responsibilities- Provide high-quality mental health care through direct screening, diagnosis, and formulation/implementation of treatment plans for mental health patients, primarily in crisis.
- Make quick and clinically appropriate decisions regarding patient safety, safety of the community, and identify next steps for immediate interventions.
- Document patient data, actions, or interventions, responses, and plans for care/follow-up according to KP guidelines and standards for practice.
- Utilize concurrent documentation skills to wrap up calls to be available for subsequent callers in the queue as quickly as possible.
- Consult with other department providers regarding treatment plans and perform other duties as requested.
- Two (2) years of clinical experience.
- Masters level degree or higher required (M.S.W., M.S., M.A., M.Ed.).
- Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (Washington) within 6 months of hire AND Licensed Clinical Social Worker (Oregon) within 6 months of hire OR Professional Counselor License (Oregon) within 6 months of hire AND Mental Health Counselor License (Washington) within 6 months of hire OR Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (Washington) within 6 months of hire AND Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (Oregon) within 6 months of hire OR Psychologist License (Oregon) within 6 months of hire AND Psychologist License (Washington) within 6 months of hire.
- National Provider Identifier required at hire.
- One (1) year of mental health crisis intervention experience.
- Previous call center/phone queue work experience.
- Thorough and working knowledge of psychological diagnostic categories and evidenced-based treatment approaches.
