e&e Technical Consultants, LLC is seeking a highly skilled Windows Server Administrator to join our team in Philadelphia, PA

About the Role

We are looking for a dynamic and innovative individual who is passionate about Windows Server administration and is eager to take on new challenges. As a Windows Server Administrator, you will be responsible for the daily administration of Windows server environments, designing, installing, and configuring Windows servers, and supporting server OS and application deployments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Administer and manage Windows server environments, including daily maintenance, troubleshooting, and optimization
  • Design, install, and configure Windows servers, both on-premises and in cloud environments
  • Support and manage enterprise backup solutions, including data recovery and disaster recovery
  • Support and manage enterprise storage solutions, including storage area networks and data storage systems
  • Maintain best practices and support procedures, including documentation and knowledge sharing
  • Adhere to policies and standards concerning server administration, including security and compliance
  • Administer and support VMware hypervisor, including virtual machine management and resource allocation
  • Implement and maintain solutions and technologies that address cyber security issues, including threat detection and incident response
  • Perform scheduled and ad hoc control/compliance validation, including security audits and risk assessments
  • Assess and audit compliance against security policies and standards, including regulatory requirements
  • Improve and maintain monitoring, configuration management, and reporting functions, including system performance and network monitoring
  • Provide after-hours support for infrastructure weekend maintenance and related emergencies
  • Maintain inventory and asset configuration documentation, including hardware and software inventory
  • Interact with customers, management, and staff on a technical level, as required
  • Serve as technical expert in Server systems administration and systems management, including knowledge sharing and mentoring
  • Responsible for monitoring system performance, network, and storage utilization, including system optimization and resource allocation
  • Provide support with escalated help desk requests via Service Now, including troubleshooting and problem-solving
  • Improve/update new systems and deployment plans, including system design and implementation
  • Create and maintain PowerShell scripts to improve operational efficiency, including automation and process improvement
  • Perform troubleshooting as needed, assist with problem-solving efforts, involving other teams, partners, and outside vendors
  • Experience and working knowledge of Active Directory and Azure Active Directory, including identity and access management

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in information technology, computer science, software engineering, or equivalent knowledge acquired by work experience and training
  • Working experience of at least three years as a senior-level Windows System Administrator
  • Proven experience working in highly collaborative environments, including team management and leadership
  • Expert understanding of Windows server trends and best practices, including security and compliance
  • Expertise in securing systems, providing audit evidence, Cluster/HA, and standards implementation, including security frameworks and compliance standards
  • Expertise in managing storage solutions for VMware environments, including storage area networks and data storage systems
  • Expertise in managing enterprise backup solutions, including data recovery and disaster recovery
