We are seeking a highly skilled Active Directory/Hyper-V Infrastructure Specialist to join our consulting team, supporting a major banking client. This is a full-time onsite role with a commitment to stability, security, and efficiency of the banking client's Active Directory and Hyper-V systems.


The ideal candidate will have extensive experience managing and maintaining Active Directory environments, along with expertise in Microsoft Hyper-V for virtualization solutions. As a key contributor, you will work closely with the IT infrastructure team to ensure the stability, security, and efficiency of the banking client's Active Directory and Hyper-V systems.


This role requires hands-on experience in a large-scale enterprise environment, and familiarity with industry best practices for virtualization and directory services. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing, configuring, and supporting Active Directory environments, including Group Policy, DNS, and domain controllers.


Additionally, the candidate will oversee and maintain the Hyper-V virtualization infrastructure, ensuring high availability, disaster recovery, and performance optimization. They will perform routine backups, monitoring, and maintenance of AD and Hyper-V systems, and provide troubleshooting and resolve technical issues related to Active Directory, Hyper-V, and related services.


Implementing security best practices within AD, including user management, permissions, and access controls, will be a key responsibility. The candidate will also collaborate with other IT teams to integrate and support virtualization technologies, and assist with system upgrades, patch management, and server migrations as needed.


Maintaining detailed technical documentation and reports, ensuring compliance with organizational policies and regulatory requirements, particularly within the banking sector, will be essential.


The successful candidate will have 5+ years of hands-on experience with Active Directory administration and support, 3+ years of experience with Hyper-V virtualization technology, and a strong understanding of Windows Server environments (Windows Server 2016/2019/2022).


Experience with DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, and related AD services, proficiency in PowerShell for automation and scripting, knowledge of backup and disaster recovery procedures for AD and Hyper-V, and experience in large-scale, enterprise environments (preferably within banking/finance) are essential.


The ideal candidate will have excellent troubleshooting skills and the ability to work independently, with strong communication and documentation skills.
