KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
In this role, you will:

  • Assist in the design and development of water and wastewater engineering projects.
  • Evaluate and analyze existing infrastructure projects.
  • Coordinate with various utility providers, state departments of transportation, municipalities, and regulatory bodies.
  • Prepare and modify reports, specifications, plans, schedules, studies, permits, and designs for projects.
  • Conduct design computations and prepare quantity estimates.
  • Develop construction cost estimates for departmental projects.

Some travel may be necessary for project-related activities.

QUALIFICATIONS:
The ideal candidate will possess a bachelor’s degree (or higher) in civil engineering from an accredited institution. Additional preferred qualifications include:

  • Experience through civil engineering internships.
  • Familiarity with AutoCAD Civil 3D or MicroStation software.
  • Experience in utility coordination or relocation design.
  • Background in municipal or water resources engineering.
  • EIT or PE certification, or successful completion of the EIT exam with plans to obtain certification post-graduation.
