Memorial Hermann Health System is seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Ultrasound Technologist to support the Imaging Department at TIRR Memorial Hermann.
Key Responsibilities- Perform ultrasound procedures to aid physicians in diagnosing and treating patients.
- Prepare patients for exams, explain procedures, and position patients for optimal imaging.
- Enter and monitor patient data, ensuring accurate and timely documentation.
- Perform quality assurance on ultrasound equipment, maintaining optimal performance and safety standards.
- Identify and report any accidents, complaints, or equipment malfunctions to department management.
- Take emergency calls within the department, providing prompt and effective support.
- Ensure safe care to patients, staff, and visitors, adhering to Memorial Hermann policies and procedures.
- Promote individual professional growth and development through mandatory education and skills competency.
- Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology or Sonography Technology.
- Certified in Basic or Advanced Life Support.
- One of the following certifications required: Registered Sonographer (ARRT-S), Registered Vascular Sonographer (ARRT-VS), Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS), Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS), Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT), Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS), Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS), Registered Vascular Specialist (RVS), or Registered Congenital Cardiac Sonographer (RCCS).
- Ability to lift and/or maneuver patients in conjunction with others to perform job functions.
