Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Pharmacy Technician to join our team at Yale New Haven Health. As a Pharmacy Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient distribution of medications to our patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Medication Distribution: Accurately and efficiently pick, prepare, package, label, and deliver medications to the appropriate storage area of patient care units.
  • Inventory Management: Maintain adequate medication inventory levels based upon par levels and ensure proper medication movement through rotation of stock based on expiration and usage patterns.
  • Technical Support: Demonstrate proficiency in various technology utilized in the provision of pharmaceutical care, including EMR, ADS, Inventory Management software, and barcode labeling programs.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 6-months Pharmacy technician experience or healthcare experience required.
  • Current registration/licensure or eligible for registration as a Pharmacy Technician in the State of employment.
Working Conditions

Employee may be expected to work on-call shifts and is considered essential personnel and is expected to work during inclement weather if scheduled.
