Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Business Operations Technician to join our team at Colorado State University. This role will provide transactional support for our undergraduate and graduate programs, working closely with the Senior Graduate Program Coordinator. The successful candidate will be responsible for administering reappointments, personnel and payroll changes, and other HR-related tasks. They will also provide programmatic administrative support, including tuition payments, application assistance, and recurring information gathering for textbooks, syllabi, and regalia.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide transactional support to current and prospective graduate students, including monitoring and paying tuition and fees, assisting with application coordination, and providing program and application information.
  • Enter graduate student transactions for stipend increases, appointments, and reappointments, and coordinate the certification form signature processes.
  • Work with faculty and the bookstore to place textbook orders, collect and maintain syllabi for courses taught each semester, and gather and enter instructor percentages for faculty.
  • Facilitate faculty grade submissions, reminding and assisting faculty as needed, and coordinate regalia ordering and returns for commencement ceremonies.
  • Provide backup support to other business operations, including customer service for the front office and travel processing, and cross-train with the academic support team on student forms and other technical processes.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree from an institution of higher education.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Experience working in a team environment.
  • Demonstrated experience with customer service.
  • Written and verbal communication skills confirmed by review of application materials.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Prior experience in Higher Education.
  • Experience balancing varied job responsibilities.
  • Experience working with confidential information.
