Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Primary Care Physician Assistant to join our team at Texas Health Resources. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and working collaboratively with our physicians and staff to deliver exceptional patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform comprehensive history and physical exams on new and established patients
  • Consult with supervising physicians as needed to ensure accurate diagnoses and effective treatment plans
  • Provide follow-up and health maintenance care to patients in accordance with established protocols or specific instructions from the supervising physician
  • Initiate appropriate treatment and testing required for evaluation of illness based on training and experience
  • Provide counseling and instruction to patients regarding health-related issues
  • Document clinical care of the patient according to established guidelines
  • Perform therapeutic and diagnostic procedures as indicated by training and experience and as directed by the supervising physician
  • Communicate with patients and family members within state law confidentiality and HIPAA guidelines concerning health-related questions
  • Participate in continuous quality improvement processes and other initiatives in the area of employee practice
Requirements
  • Master's Degree in Physician Assistant Studies
  • 1 year of experience as a Physician Assistant
  • PA - Physician Assistant licensure upon hire
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
Work Environment

This position requires working indoors 67% or more and may involve exposure to blood, body fluids, or tissues. The physical demands of this role are classified as Light Work.
