Job Summary

The Automotive Service Technician is a skilled professional responsible for diagnosing and repairing vehicles in a fast-paced dealership environment. This role requires strong technical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a commitment to delivering exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform diagnostics and repairs on vehicles in a timely and efficient manner
  • Communicate effectively with customers and colleagues to ensure seamless service delivery
  • Inspect vehicles to identify potential issues and recommend necessary repairs
  • Collaborate with the Parts Department to obtain necessary parts and materials
  • Document all work performed and recommended on repair orders
  • Ensure all dealership-owned tools and equipment are properly maintained and returned to their designated storage areas
Requirements
  • ASE Certification
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Valid Driver's License and clean driving record
  • 2+ years of experience in a dealership or similar environment
  • Prior body work experience
  • Previous B Class general service technician experience
  • Participant in a manufacturer-sponsored training program, school, or event
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to work safely in a noisy area with many odors present
  • Ability to lift up to 45lbs regularly
  • Good vision to inspect repair work
  • Ability to bend, stretch, kneel, and squat to perform repairs and inspections
