We are seeking a highly skilled Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) Registered Nurse to join our team at HealthEcareers - Client in Espanola, New Mexico.

Job Description

As a PACU RN, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in the post-anesthesia recovery unit. Your duties will include monitoring patients during their recovery from anesthesia, administering medications as needed, and communicating effectively with the healthcare team.

This is a 13-week contract opportunity, requiring 40 hours of work per week, with flexible shift schedules available. If you are a motivated and compassionate nurse looking for a new challenge, we encourage you to apply.

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor patients recovering from anesthesia, including general, regional, and local anesthetics.
  • Administer medications as needed, such as pain management and nausea control.
  • Communicate effectively with the healthcare team, including physicians, nurses, and other support staff.
  • Provide education to patients and their families on post-operative care and recovery.
Requirements
  • Active RN license in good standing.
  • Degree from an accredited nursing program.
  • BLS and ACLS certifications.
  • Eighteen months of recent experience in an acute care PACU setting.
