Fire Protection Technician

About the Role:

Encore Fire Protection is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Fire Protection Technician to join our team. As a Fire Protection Technician, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and servicing fire sprinkler systems in commercial buildings throughout Rhode Island and Massachusetts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Laying out, assembling, and installing fire sprinkler systems in commercial buildings
  • Maintaining and servicing fire sprinkler systems to ensure they are functioning properly
  • Working under the direct supervision of a qualified Journeyman
  • Being a positive and professional representative of Encore Fire Protection while dealing with customers, directly and indirectly

Requirements:

  • Minimum 1-year experience in the pipefitting field is preferred
  • Must be able to take direction from supervisors and work independently with minimal supervision
  • Must be able to work at heights and lift at least 50lbs
  • Must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation
  • Must be able to pass a drug screen and background check
  • Candidates must have a High School Diploma or GED to be eligible for registration in an apprenticeship program
