Estimated Salary: $120,000 - $180,000 per year.

This role uses a digital and model-based systems engineering (MBSE) approach to design, develop, integrate, and test end-to-end spacecraft systems and payloads through their entire life cycle. The ideal candidate will serve as a senior technical leader to the business, developing Digital Engineering and MBSE processes and procedures for spacecraft and mission development. This position is instrumental in attracting/obtaining major new business opportunities.

Responsibilities:
  • Serve as a senior technical leader to the business, developing Digital Engineering and MBSE processes and procedures for spacecraft and mission development.
  • Leverage Digital Engineering and MBSE tools to support full systems engineering lifecycle.
  • Generate quantifiable requirements based on customer description, system planning and design, and acquisition logistics.
  • Ensure requirements comply with client requirements and government standards through formal verification methods.
  • Translate high-level spacecraft development strategies into system requirement specifications and work with other engineering disciplines to develop lower-level detailed implementation requirements.
  • Establish and coordinate development of standards, practices, and procedures as related to the overall system development.
  • Design interfaces and bring system elements together, so they work as a whole.
  • Assess performance using evaluation criteria and technical performance measures.
  • Support business development activities and provide insight into customer requirements.
  • Participate in system conceptual design and documentation of design concepts.
  • Develop system-level requirements verification procedures and customer acceptance test procedures.
  • Review test plans/procedures and ensure they meet contractual requirements.
  • Lead program elements and conduct technical reviews and baselines.
  • Write status and technical performance reports.
  • Mentor junior staff and provide guidance on project management.
