About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Water Resources Engineer to join our team at AtkinsRéalis. As a FEMA Water Resources Engineer, you will play a critical role in reviewing submitted flood insurance revisions and evaluating engineering hydrologic and hydraulic analyses to ensure compliance with FEMA National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP) regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review and evaluate submitted flood insurance revisions and engineering hydrologic and hydraulic analyses.
  • Act as a technical liaison to FEMA, state and local governments, and other engineers and property owners.
  • Develop and complete new hydrologic and hydraulic analyses, conforming to FEMA NFIP guidelines and specifications.
  • Collaborate with senior engineers on various engineering projects related to water resources and civil engineering.

Requirements:

  • B.S. in Civil Engineering, preferably with a specialization in Water Resources.
  • 3-5 years of work experience.
  • Good interpersonal skills and technical writing and communications skills.
  • Experience with HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, ArcGIS, SWMM, and AutoCAD is preferred.
