Our team is seeking a Skilled Certified Nursing Assistant to join our Rumford Community Home in Maine. This part-time 20-hours position comes with a competitive salary of $20.50 per hour plus a $1,250 Sign-On Bonus.

About the Role

This Certified Nursing Assistant position is based in our Long Term Care Facility at Rumford Community Home. As a CNA, you will provide direct and indirect patient care under the direction of a Registered Nurse or physician. Your responsibilities will include assisting patients with activities of daily living, providing personal care, emotional support, and performing more complex clinical skills under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.

Requirements
  • Completion of a Certified Nursing Assistant course
  • Current certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant in the state of Maine
  • Listing on the Maine State Board of Nursing CNA Registry

Duties and Responsibilities
  1. Provide patient care responsibilities considering the needs specific to the standard of care for patients of various ages.
  2. Assist patients with admissions, discharge, and transfers, and provide general nursing care such as positioning patients, lifting and turning patients, applying/utilizing special equipment, and assisting in use of bedpan, commode, and ambulating patients.
  3. Prepare patients for meals, serve and remove food trays, and assist with meals or feeds patients if necessary.
  4. Transport patients to various departments for ordered tests/procedures, take and record temperature, pulse, respiration, weight, blood pressure, and intake-output, and report patient complaints of pain to assigned RNs.
  5. Communicate clearly and concisely with RNs and medical staff, maintain good working relationships within the department and with other departments, and document patient care according to current standards and policies.
