Preconstruction Engineer

JP Cullen, a leading construction management firm, is seeking a skilled Preconstruction Engineer to join our team in Madison and Janesville offices. As a key member of our estimating team, you will play a crucial role in providing accurate and efficient estimates to our clients.
About the RoleWe are looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual with a strong interest in the construction industry. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of estimating processes and systems, as well as excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Key Responsibilities- Review and analyze plans and specifications to ensure accurate estimates
- Conduct site visits to gather information and assess project requirements
- Develop and maintain historical cost databases to inform estimating decisions
- Collaborate with estimators, project managers, and superintendents to ensure seamless project execution
- Prepare and submit bids to clients, ensuring timely and accurate delivery
- Participate in training programs to stay up-to-date on industry developments and best practices
- Four-year college degree in construction, engineering, or a related field
- At least two years of experience in estimating, preferably in a construction-related position
